Blog 1: Bad Summary and Conflict

I finally finished the book Bad. It was an amazing book. I was about a girl that was caught up doing some bad things. She has this thing for "skating" which are just bad things. When she goes to rehabilitation she meets some new people there. There all trying to get on the right track and are really trying. She is doing a lot better in the rehab and has learned a lot.

The conflict is Man vs Man. It is between Dallas an her father. They don't really get along. She feels like she's not loved by him and he doesn't care. Through out the story Dallas hasn't gotten along with her father for example in the beginning when Dallas's trial started he was offered the option to either send her away or keep her in his custody. He decided to allow Dallas to be sent away and this is why Dallas hates her father and she feels like know body cares. 

Cursive or Nah

While I was flipping through Scholastic Scope. I came across an article named "Is it time for Cursive to Die?". Do you remember writing cursive? Was it necessary? Do you use it? Well most schools have stopped teaching cursive. They say that there are more important things to concentrate on then cursive. I think that we should stop writing in cursive. Although many people do prefer it including my self I feel that children must be brought into the future. Now in day everyone types everything. If you walk into most classrooms now you will hear the sound of kids typing away. Not pencils scribbling away. What do you think should cursive be a thing of the past?

Lemon Brown Blog

It surprised me how although everything that Lemon Brown has gone through he still likes his past. This has a lesson in involved. It is that even though you go through a lot there is still something good. This connects to what weave learned because the man is homeless but there is people who support him making him still what to move on. Greg learned that his father just wanted the best for him and he should listen more.

Bad Summary and POV

I am on page 88 so far In Bad there is a girl that isn't on the right track. She is doing bad things like stealing and stuff. She decides to rob a store with her friends. While her friends get away with it. She get charged with armed robbery. Her father shows know sympathy for her. Since he didn't want to take charge of her anymore the judge sentenced her to 6 month rehabilitation. Her "friends" have abandoned her but she is making new friends  in the rehab.

Dallas is the kid of person that follows people around. She has know self respect. She lets her "friends" push her around getting her in some serious trouble. She still believes that her friends love her even after what happened.

iFunny

iFunny is about a boy Jamie Grimm. Jamie is hilarious and when a comedy contest pops up he is told to try out.  Jamie decided to join the contest in New York. After going to New York he wins the contest. Everything goes well until Stevie his brother starts saying that the only reason he won was because he was in a wheel chair. He decided to join another competition and no surprise he won again.

Jamie is a passionate boy. He wants to finish what he started. Although his entire family died in a car accident he was still motivated to move on. He didn't let the fact that he was in a wheel chair push him back. He finally became successful because he kept going.
